When I was three years old I had Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease in my left hip. My left hip was rebuilt when I was five. After two years of sporadic pain and difficulties walking my left hip failed on October 14th 2006. This is my blog of the journey I am going through to re-gain my health and again establish a normal, stable and healthy adult life.

"Heaven came down and glory filled my soul"

"Heaven Came Down and Glory Filled My Soul". This old hymn has been floating in my head today. I have been thinking about God's faithfulness. I am thankful my hip has been repaired. I wanted to leave a note that I had enjoyed my Saviour today.

I took a shower tonight for the first time since my surgery. It was wonderful to be able to do this.

I went for a short walk in the hall to help keep my right leg strong while we wait for my left hip to be usable. Not many people know how much the injured hip was affecting my life and why I am so glad it has been fixed. I had so much on hold while waiting for these days to come. 2008 is going to be a good year.
