When I was three years old I had Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease in my left hip. My left hip was rebuilt when I was five. After two years of sporadic pain and difficulties walking my left hip failed on October 14th 2006. This is my blog of the journey I am going through to re-gain my health and again establish a normal, stable and healthy adult life.

You may subscribe to my blogs RSS Feed RSS Feed. If you had Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease as a child or your child now has this disease you may benefit from the support group I co-moderate.

Physiotherpy complications

Friday December 28th, 2007 at 11:22 am

I had surgery in September for my left hip. It was successful but I am running into complications with the physiotherapy to help my body become strong again. I wanted to ask for prayer for the physiotherapist and my doctors insight into my body and for the Lord to strengthen the joints in my hips.

My other hip is wearing out, a side effect of the disease I had in my left hip as a child. The next few weeks will determine if I have an operation on my right hip in the next year or so. The ball in my right hip is flat and there is arthritis in the joint from how my right hip compensated for the disease I had in my left hip.

Thanks for listening to me and praying for me.
