When I was three years old I had Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease in my left hip. My left hip was rebuilt when I was five. After two years of sporadic pain and difficulties walking my left hip failed on October 14th 2006. This is my blog of the journey I am going through to re-gain my health and again establish a normal, stable and healthy adult life.

You may subscribe to my blogs RSS Feed RSS Feed. If you had Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease as a child or your child now has this disease you may benefit from the support group I co-moderate.

Back to the ER

Wednesday May 2nd, 2007

I was back to the hospital Saturday. They injected some anti inflammatory medication and freezing into my groin. The oral anti inflammatory medications have been hard on my stomach. It seems the stress of how my hip was re-created when I was five and had surgery is stressing out my groin by virtue of me walking.

I am left with many decisions I have to make for my life. I am in the midst of home renovations. About 40 hours to go. I personally am able to handle 1 hour per day. I am very close to needing to be on crutches again. I have an MRI May 17th ... I think this will help settle what I should be doing medically speaking.
