I went to the hospital Wednesday morning to have my next check up. The bone graft done during my operation has healed. The hospital has prepared the ordered to remove the screws this winter.
Over the past 2 years my right hip began paining me. The pain in my right hip hasn't let up since August 2007. Today I asked for surgery for my right hip. They asked me what is going on. I told the doctor about having problems bending and the pain in the joint. He asked me if it felt the same as my left hip (they had found that the bone was rubbing on the socket in my left hip with how the hip which had legg perthes began to deteriorate.) He looked at the x-rays. My right hip is flat. This summer I will come back to the hospital to confirm my
left hip is strong and healed from the screw removal. Then they will do a requisition for surgery on my right hip ... very similar surgery is needed for it as my left one had. They hope to operate next winter.
I am slowly getting my life back.
