My Left Hip MRI Appointment Is Booked

I just got off the phone with my local hospital diagnostic imaging department. I have my MRI appointment. It will occur on May 16th. Wait times for MRI imaging in Ontario Canada are available online. I have looked up the current wait times. It appears my local hospital has taken into consideration that my original referral had become lost and the MRI referral should have been submitted about 4 weeks ago. The MRI wait time is longer than what has happened in the past. This is a lingering effect of the pandemic. A 4 week wait isn't unreasonable. If I feel that there is an increased urgency for this to occur I will need to reach out to the surgeon with an explanation of the challenges I am enduring and justification to make my priority rating higher.
