Hospital Therapy Dog Program Visit To The Emergency Department

I am presently in the waiting room of the emergency department at my local hospital. One of the hospital therapy dogs is in this area of the hospital and going to each patient that wants to pet the dog. It reminds me of my 2015 surgery when a pair of dogs visited my hospital room following my hip replacement surgery. They spent 15 minutes. That was the best 15 minutes of being in the hospital. This is now the second best. I am so glad they have it. When you are petting the dog nothing else matters.
