Delivery Of My Fast Charging Cables
[ Sunday July 27th 2025 at 12:35 pm ]

I keep a fast charger and USB C cable in my hip sack. This means it comes with me to all my medical appointment. I used this while waiting at the hospital emergency department yesterday on account of the long wait time. I have also used this when staying at a hotel over night for my medical treatment where I had my hip surgery in April.

However the USB C cable I have been using is at the outer limit of what works for fast charging. Fast charging measures the voltage drop over the length of the wire. If it exceeds a defined threshold it reverts to the speed we charged our devices with a few years ago. I decided to order myself some good quality USB C charging cables. These have been delivered. Over top of the rubber coating there is a braided edge to protect the charging cable from metal fatigue and prevent these from bending in a way that will cause the wire to break. These also came with rubber wire ties to stop them from becoming tangled when not in use.

I was using a 3 feet long USB C cable for charging my phone. I decided to buy 6 feet long cables. This is much more practical and easier for me to handle in terms of my physical disability. A 3 foot cable length requires more precision than my body is giving me. This will be especially helpful with charging my devices while I am using my power wheelchair. I just plugged 2 of these into my fast charging brick and put these into my hip sack.

I like to work on my blog while I am waiting for doctors. These should be really helpful. For me it was worth the $20 expense.
