Booked Hotel For The 2 Days Before Surgery

I have just finished booking the 2 day hotel stay prior to my right artificial hip being replaced. I approached my disability case worker to ask if she would approve this expense. I explained the travel day pain and how physically exhausting this is. Then I expressed the concern related to my blood pressure increasing and the risk this creates for surgery. My revision surgery is going to last for more than 2 hours. The only option is to give me general anaesthesia. The risk high blood pressure would create is real and not theoretical. My disability case worker knows how difficult of a recovery my left artificial hip surgery from April 2nd 2025 has been. There is a letter from my surgeon from my April 2nd 2025 surgery recommending this. She agreed to this expense. I have just booked the hotel room. The hotel I have been staying at is an 8 minute my power wheelchair drive to the hospital. They have a 10% discount for medical related travel. The front desk staff told me to ask for this when I travel to their city for my medical appointments. They know me by name and have been caring towards me when I explained why I was there.
