Assessed For My Right Lower Eye Lid Rolling Forward
[ Thursday January 22nd 2026 at 2:17 pm ]

I have just finished the appointment having my right lower eye lid assessed by an ophthalmologist. This doctor did a good job explaining her reasoning to me. She is hopeful the eczema near my right lower eye lid is causing my eye lid to roll forward. What she has explained to me is that skin with eczema tightens up. This can contort an eye lid.

She has prescribed a topical cream to treat my eczema. The best case is that the topical cream works and my right lower eye lid returns to it's natural position. Otherwise the use of the eczema cream will bring the best possible outcome for an operation to tighten up my right lower eye lid. The crux of this is that I am damned to a lifetime of eye infections without this being resolved. The option to do nothing doesn't exist.

My follow up appointment is in 6 weeks. Then I will see where things stand at that time.
