When I had my presurgery consulation my family doctor gave me the "Patient Guide To Knee Replacement Surgery" booklet. He told me I would know most of the information this contains because of the 9 hip surgeries I have undergone. He has asked me to read this over to glean what knowledge is specific to artificial knee replacement surgery. In terms of pain control I am not doing too bad right now. I have just spent the time it took to read the entire guide. I wanted to honor what my surgeon expected of me.
