My Right Leg Is Straight For The First Time Since Surgery!
[ Wednesday July 8th 2026 at 8:26 pm ]

I just got my right leg straight for the first time since having my right knee replaced. There is still a lot of healing to do. I could not be more relieved. My surgeon stressed there is 12 weeks to make it straight following surgery and then it is near impossible after this. This is based on the textbook definition of how a knee heals following replacement surgery. The tendons, ligaments and muscles need stretching to lengthen in order to match the artificial knee joint. I should be able to keep it straight and just require muscle building exercises at the 12 week deadline.
