Back To Using The Warm Water Therapy Pool
[ Monday July 27th 2026 at 4:30 pm ]

The past few days have been pretty rough. I am plenty glad they are over. While I was waiting at the bus stop on Thursday my knee replacement incision started tearing itself open. There is no way I could use the warm water therapy pool with an open wound. I certainly don't want my artificial knee to become infected. I had Steri Strips at my home. These were for use as a pain control strategy with how difficult managing my seromas have been. I was able to do damage control and prevent the incision from opening further using these. I am genuinely surprised to see how quickly this closed. At this moment all that is needed is a waterproof bandage and to rinse it off in the shower after I finish the pool.

The really nice part about the warm water therapy pool is with how much easy I am able to do my knee replacement surgery physiotherapy. It is easier to move my knee joint. Also the pain of building up the range of motion in my right knee joint doesn't get on my nerves near as quickly. The warmth of the water is comforting. In terms of thinking about the recovery as an investment the best return on the effort I am putting in to recover is with the warm water physiotherapy. The only thing is that I need to keep on doing more as my knee joint strengthens and is recovering.
