Using A Warm Bag On My Knee Prior To My Physiotherapy Has Helped So Much

When I first started using the warm water therapy pool I realized that I needed to just sit in the warm water for about 10 minutes while the knee joint that was replaced warms up. As the joint warms up it loosens and is ready to be worked on. With the aquatic center being closed for the 3 weeks of annual preventative maintenance I don't have this option. This has been really punishing with the pain not having a warmed up knee joint creates. I have worked out the alternative. Amazingly the facility has accommodated this.

The alternative is to apply heat using a heating pad, hot water bottle, plastic heating pack or a bag that is warmed up in the microwave oven. The easiest for me is to use a bag that is warmed up in the microwave oven. Within the facility there is a "50+ Center". As part of this there is a kitchen. They are allowing me to use this microwave oven.

The overall idea is that my knee pain won't go wildly out of control when I use the Workout Room for my artificial right knee joint physiotherapy. The part I am especially grateful for is being in pain uses up energy. This makes managing the activities of daily living very difficult. Feeling like I am going to vomit or faint from this pain has been very difficult to co-exist with. It is so debilitating. This should make getting my meals easier.
