Prepared A Summary For My New Family Doctor

I have just finished preparing the summary for my new family doctor. I don't presently have a family doctor. There is no patient chart to transfer. This will provide an accurate summary to my new family doctor of where I am at right now. This way he is asking effective questions. It will narrow his focus to the issues I am presently experiencing. This should also signal to my new family doctor that I am engaged in my life and that I am serious about receiving help. I must admit that I am mentally fatigued. This took 2½ hours to prepare. It is all detail oriented. I was looking up dates and details to endure what I provide is accurate. My new family doctor office provided me with an e-mail address to grant me access to the calendar to book my initial appointment at a time that will work. I attached these as a PDF when I sent the e-mail just now to get the link for their calendar.
I am feeling very hopeful concerning this new family doctor. Why I am feeling hopeful is that this new family doctor has previous experience being a family doctor in England. Canadian culture is close enough to England that I expect how I frame and describe my physical disability will be well understood. As well this family doctor has entered into the financial incentive program offered by the city where I live. This requires the family doctor to commit to having a medical practice in Belleville for a minimum of 5 years. In exchange the city provides finances that is approximately equal to the cost of housing for the initial 5 years. I personally see this as a good use of property tax funds. If a city is to be healthy and thrive it needs doctors.
I have the appointment with my surgeon on Monday. I want to give my surgeon first dibs on my time. If my surgeon wants to do any treatment in the short term (such as addressing the fluid still draining from both of my 2025 incisions) I want to be available. This is the only reservation I have about booking my "meet and greet" appointment with my new family doctor. My hospital emergency department doctor set this in motion when I attended the local hospital emergency department on February 24th 2025. He was genuinely concerned about me with how serious of an impact my knees were creating. I have only been getting dressed on the days when I absolutely must leave my home. I have only been washing my entire body once a month. The movement of my legs triggers my knees. This makes washing myself or getting dressed the entire activity for the day. Some of the time it means I am physically unable to get food for myself. The nausea from my knee pain is too debilitating. I have been using a baby wipe to clean under my foreskin. I have been periodically using a wash cloth to wash my bum. This is the most cleaning I can do on a day to day basis this doesn't cause really severe and out of control pain in my knee.
I really appreciate that an emergency department doctor stuck his neck out for me. I embrace the idea of having a family doctor again.
