Renewal Of My Disability Tax Certificate Has Been Approved

My Disability Tax Certificate with Canada Revenue Agency was set to expire on December 31st 2026. About 6 weeks ago I asked my family doctor to complete form T2201 so this could be extended and without me loosing coverage while waiting for this to be processed. It has now been renewed. I am very grateful.
A Disability Tax Certificate is one of the prerequisites for having a Registered Disability Savings Plan and receiving the Canada Disability Benefit. There are additional requirements for both programs. When I think about what Canada offers in social supports to myself and those who have a serious disability I am very grateful. There are many other countries that if I lived in them I'd be left to struggle and have all my efforts going towards simply keeping myself alive.
